I'm Leevon Levasseur. I'm a software developer and an educator, and I live in Toronto. I believe rewarding work includes collaboration, communication, education, and helping those in need.

Work

I'm a Software Developer II at Konrad. I build agents for enterprise clients, mostly in TypeScript, Node, React and Python. Client work has taken me through AWS Kendra and Bedrock and through Azure AI Foundry and AI Search, and Google Cloud is the one I want to learn next.

I think agents are like cars. Most people will own one to get from point A to point B, and big companies will build them, but people will still take them to a local mechanic for a tune-up. I want to be that mechanic: someone in the community who teaches and helps people.

Teaching

Before Konrad I was an Associate Educator in web development at BrainStation. Through that work with Canada Learning Code, the Code to Career initiative helped empower over 800 talented adults in Canada. I also hosted community events at BrainStation's Vancouver campus, like Demo Day, the Vancouver Tech Social and career panels.

Learning how to teach has helped me understand how I learn. I still teach outside work, and I'd like to do more of it: one-on-one conversations, sharing resources online, getting other people to build, and giving lectures and power-hour talks.

Hockey

I don't play hockey. I follow the NHL obsessively: stats, news, fantasy hockey, and watching games. I keep up with every team, but I'm a Canucks fan at heart, even in the years they struggle. Two side projects came out of it: a stat sheet generator for NucksTalk and a private World Juniors fantasy league I run.

Music and games

Outside work I play music, play RPGs, and like long conversations.
