Cover letter
Hello,
Why I'm writing
I'm a software developer and educator, and I build agents. I think agents are about to become something most people use every day, the way most people own a car. Big companies will build them, but people will still need someone local to help them get the most out of theirs. I want to be that person: someone who builds agents and teaches others to do the same.
TODO(owner): The kind of role you want and why now. The sources don't say.
What I build
I'm a Software Developer II at Konrad, where I started as an Associate Software Developer. I build agents for enterprise clients, mostly in TypeScript, Node, React and Python. That client work has taken me through AWS Kendra and Bedrock and through Azure AI Foundry and AI Search.
TODO(owner): An example from that work you're proud of, as far as you can share it.
How I work
I believe rewarding work includes collaboration, communication, education, and helping those in need. Before Konrad I was an Associate Educator in web development at BrainStation, and through work with Canada Learning Code the Code to Career initiative helped empower over 800 talented adults in Canada. Learning how to teach has helped me understand how I learn.
I also earned a Product Management Certificate at BrainStation. With a teammate I took an MVP called Playbook from discovery through a Figma prototype, pricing tiers, KPIs and OKRs, a go-to-market plan, and a live demo. It made me better at user-focused solutions, agile user stories, and building products around the value they deliver.
Why this site
This site is a sample of my work. The chat at the top of the homepage is a guide that answers questions about me from the site's own pages and cites the page each answer came from. The same knowledge is open to other people's agents through an MCP server and to anyone through a plain HTTP API. It's built on Tailwind, shadcn/ui, assistant-ui and the Vercel AI SDK, and it changes colour with the seasons.
Closing
If you'd like to talk, ask the guide to pass a message to me, or reach out on LinkedIn. I'd be glad to hear from you.
Thank you for reading,
